1. Our story started when my first-born suffered from eczema.
I started Q for Quinn when I could not find a pair of socks that were gentle enough for my son who suffered from eczema. This is where the idea for Q for Quinn was born: to create the perfect pair of socks; a pair so gentle that didn’t trigger or worsen my son’s discomfort.
2. Our entire supply chain is traceable.
When I set out to create the perfect pair of socks, I knew they had to be the safest. I was shocked to find that 90% of baby and kids’ socks were found to have harsh chemicals including BPA and Parabens. That’s why we source clean, natural materials and certify our entire supply chain to provide the assurance to our customers that our products are truly free of toxins and harmful chemicals.
3. We manufacture in family owned facilities in Portugal and India.
I’ve always stood by the fact that when something is made with intention and love, it has the potential to be long lasting and beautiful. This is why we choose partners that are just as committed to our people and planet as we are. We manufacture in family owned facilities in Portugal and India, that are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS).
4. A cause that hits close to home.
Growing up in Sri Lanka, where poverty is widespread, has helped me truly appreciate how fortunate my children and I are. My children will never learn or understand what it means to go to school hungry, or not be able to go to school at all. What they can learn is the importance of giving back to other children that are less fortunate.
This is why we partner with Mary’s Meals, to donate a meal to a child in need with every pair of socks purchased. An amazing organization, Mary’s Meals reaches over 2 million children every day and counting, in 18 different countries worldwide. To date, we have donated more than 100,000 school meals.
